Frequently Asked Questions

Ballroom dancing is just “Waltz” and other “formal” dances

Definitely not – We are here to have fun, and we teach beginners a few fun or elegant dances so they can decide what they like and what they’d like to do

I have 2 left feet and I barely walk straight

EVERYONE can dance, but everyone doesn’t do the same dance the same way. We have taught children as young as 9 yrs old and adults well into their 90’s. Everyone can learn but each takes their own time and add their own style

Dancing lessons are expensive

Private lessons average approximately $60-$90./lesson, depending on where you start and where you want to go. We offer “Practice Socials” and “Group Lessons in steps- technique- combining routines- and repetition. These classes are often included in a program and combine to ensure you learn, meet people and have a happy and non-intimidating time

Dancers are snobs

Not our dancers and students- Life is too short, at our Dance Studio we know each other and like one another. Senior dance students help the newer people-voluntarily-. We sit together, talk together, have coffee and snacks together each night, exercise together, socialize together, have lots in common , and look forward to seeing each other several times weekly. Programs are arranged for people to know other people , yet you can have a totally private experience if that is your choice
